Injustice: Gods Among Us, was launched on 16th
April 2016, which is available on PS-3, PS-4, X-box 260, and P.C. It is a
fighting game with our favorite characters from the DC World such as, Superman,
Batman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Cyborg, Harley Quinn, Night wing, Solomon
Grundy, and The Joker – it pits one against the other in a brutal fight to the
finish. A mature story line involves The Joker destroying Metropolis and
tricking Superman into killing Lois Lane and their unborn child; the Man of
Steel is then infuriated and goes against his code by murdering The Joker,
which sparks an epic battle between rival camps supporting Batman or Superman.
Deceased characters like The Joker are also brought into fight, thanks to an
alternate universe where the Joker's malevolent plan did not succeed. The game
can be played against the computer-controlled opponents, against a friend or
sibling beside you, or online against other human players.
Several years later. Superman has taken over the
world. Green Lantern has taken up the yellow ring of fear, fighting alongside
Sinestro. Raven "No Really, Why am I Here?" Roth has succumbed to her
father's evil influence and Cyborg uses his hacking skills for evil. All seems
lost, until the heroes of the real DC Universe arrive in the alternate reality
to have a fighting game. These are Earth's mightiest heroes (take that, Marvel)
and villains, and when they meet in battle the entire world trembles. The ground
heaves, windows shatter, and vehicles explode. Filled with interactive objects,
the environments in Injustice are equal parts weapon and
arena, adding a weight to the stage select screen that's never really been
there before.
This plot is one of Injustice: Gods Among Us'
greatest strengths. Without having to worry about creating a cohesive, sensible
narrative, Nether realm Studios was free to create one of the best comic-based
fighting games ever made. If Lois Lane had to die to get it done, then so be
it.
